An interactive and motivatinal tool to help smokers quit. It comprises a card sleeve with windows that contains a printed insert which slides from side to side.

The Carbon Monoxide Slider was Commended in the BMA Patient Information Awards, September 2009.

Side 1 has a cash calculator that shows how much someone can save (over 1, 5, 10 or 20 years) by giving up smoking.

Side 2 shows a CO calculator: by selecting a CO reading in the top window, the slider shows the percentage of CO in the blood, and in a baby's blood if the smoker is pregnant.

There is also a space to record the quitter's CO reading over a number of weeks, and a window that shows benefits for ex-smokers in cartoon form.
